Just need to confirm that the Nippondenso Compressors on MB use PAG 46
when operating on R-134A. Can anyone for certain confirm this?
I am just finishing up the emergency replacement (thanks again Jonathan)
of condensor, R/D, Exp. Valve, senders and seals on the 86 300SE started
early this am. It had a very slow leak (1 year) on the edge of the
condenser where this car was once impacted by a 100lb dear. Finally got
to the point where replacement was needed the other day.
So, I'm ready to button things up, pull a vacuum and recharge once
again. It's been running r134a for five years now and vent temps normal
at max were 47F and with this leak worsening it was approaching 60F when
I checked pressures only to learn the Spring charge was already on the
way out and the dye was most apparent where the previous accident had
occurred.
Anyway, PAG 46 for Nippo 10P? Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Dick
