[Sisterhood] Sisterhood: Paid up/Women's Seder/Membership

Dear Congregation B’nai Israel Sisterhood Members (Past,Present and Future), 
 
As you all know, on October 29thof this year, Hurricane Sandy struck this area at approximately the same time thatSisterhood’s Membership Kick-Off Dinner was scheduled to begin. We are gratefulthat weather forecasts provided sufficient advance notice so that we couldcancel the event and not risk any injuries to attendees.  However, because of delays caused by lengthypower outages, there does not appear to be a suitable date to reschedule theevent at this juncture.  Instead,we have decided to preserve the spirit of the event, ie., an opportunity tospend time with old and new Sisterhood friends, by combining it with theWomen’s Seder, to be held on March 11th, 2013.  Please note that this special event isled by Cantor Wallach and only held every two years.  More information will be forthcoming about the Women’s Sederbut please put it down on your calendars. 
 
Although there is usually a charge forattending the Women’s Seder, we will be waiving the fee for all currentSisterhood members, including those who will be joining on that evening.  While this includes members who paytheir annual dues that evening, we would like to make a special request that,if you have not yet paid your dues, you send those in upon receipt of thisletter.  The Membership Kick-OffDinner is traditionally held in the Fall in order to allow us to collect themajority of dues at the start of the new program year.  It is those dues, which allowSisterhood to provide many of the programs that we offer all year.  Consequently, we ask that you take theextra step of mailing in your sisterhood renewal form.  (See Attached).  If you are unsure as to whether you havepaid your dues for the current year, please contact Lisa Ehrlich at lisa.ehrlich at comcast.net or at (973)258-0622.
