Hello Christoph!
Your example is absolutely valid for our tournament. Your N-polygon has area of 9 chess squares. I'll be glad to include this composition in the tournament if you want.
It is recommended to send questionable SPGs or N-paths to the organizer's e-mail: problem at problemonline.com. Here, on the RML everybody can post general questions about the tournament if something is unclear.

Problem Online
Would this be a valid example of the requested Knight polygon (with consecutive moves, no path crossing and back to the starting square)?
