Hi Mark,
When working with pressures of 30-35 the abs unit behaves properly and the lines bleed off as they should. Much below 25-28 and you will see less progress or no flow of fluid at the calipers.

I use an indie in El Paso who is from Germany, older guy who has been working on MB since a kid,and his shop only works on MB, BMW, and Porsche. I had him do the brakes on my 560 and install the SS brake lines and ATE blue racing brake fluid and he says to ONLY vacuum bleed the brake systems when one has abs. By doing so and keeping the brake res. always full of fluid there is no possibility of getting air into the system. He had all kinds of horror stories about pressure bleeding and getting a bubble of air in the system and the abs malfuntioning.
Just passing this on for what it is worth and like everything in life everyone has their own opinions and experiences.
