Hi Jas,
There are groves on at least one of the cams (visible from the oil fill hole).
But given that the "clacking" goes away after the motor runs for about a minute
or so probably has to do with the pump and lines. This should a "relatively
trivial thing" to take car of.
There are funny rules here about where one can and can't work on cars and
the street is definately not one of them. They have this hobby garages here
where one can rent time. I will probably have to find one (in Stuttgart should
not be problem).
But especially because of the Euro/Dollar exchange it might just be cheaper
to do this stuff in the US.
