No it never had it.  There was in the SE what was called in german
"BuchhalterMercedes"
which literally means book-keeper Mercedes.  I almost bought one.  It was a
300 SE with
manual transmission, NO A/C, Velour, Sun-roof.  I was told not to expect
much from that
motor (considering the car had already 190K on it).

Mine also doesn't have those nice windshield wipers on the headlights or
cruise.

Well like I said, I could always part it out if it ever becomes un-fixable.
I am told here in
Germany that it isn't unusual for such a motor (and car) to give 500K
kilometers.

I am thinking that I restore it and just drive it on special occasions.  But
thats a job for next
year.
