Terrako,
Well, it's not really fair to compare my all-custom Ron Davies coolant system to the stock radiator with either the OEM viscous coupling fan or a set of electrical fans.
First of all, the Ron Davies radiator is all-aluminium, 3" thick and costs &
$785. The custom shroud with two 12" Spal fans was another $570.
Yes, the Ron Davies system is significantly better than the OEM radiator/Flex-a-lite electrical fans combination (as it should be considering the price difference).
The question is; how much cooling do you need?
I've got the M119 engine in my car and it runs quite a bit hotter than the M117 engine. 100 C is considered normal operating temperature for the M119 when the mercury is above 80 F.
If your viscous coupling fan needs replacement, it is less expensive to convert to the Flex-a-lite #210 electrical fans. The Flex-a-lite fans can be found from online vendors for $250 - $300. A new mechanical fan is substantially above that.Regards, Axel J. Wulff610-731-5453 Cellular610-572-4611 Home

Axel,
How much of a difference did you feel with the setup interns of interior cooling?

For anyone who's interested. I have a Behr radiator with a set of Flex-a-Lite #210 already installed (dual 12" fans). The radiator got cleaned out with a citric acid flush before I installed it in my car. I used it for 8 weeks while my Ron Davis radiator was in thier shop to have a shroud with dual 12" Spal fans installed. Complete package, radiator, fans and control box with temperature sensor. $150 + shipping.Regards, Axel J. Wulff610-731-5453 Cellular610-572-4611 Home

Franco,
I think you sent your weather our way! I was there last summer and it was hot, but geez, its around 100 here the past few days too in PA!
No filter I know of in the cabin. If your system was evacuated and recharged I'm assuming the pressures are okay (meaning correct amount of freon) and everything else is working ok? You can try hitting the recirculation button on the console to see if that helps (shuts off outside air source) and may help cool it down at over 100 degree temps!
