Markus,
It was a postal money order, and not a personel check. I guess I thought you would cash it at the post office. I have had issues with identity theft so I am really reluctant about paypal and the like. I guess I thought scince it was a postal money order that you would cash it and send the parts out when you received it.

Terrako,
Just got back from the bank/post office. Since you wanted delivery confirmation, they tried to deliver it yesterday but I wasn't here, so I had to go to the post office to pick it up. Then I had to go to the bank to deposit it, they told me it could be 1-2 weeks to clear! I really wish you had chosen paypal, I could have had the parts on the way to you already, probably cheaper for you too if you really paid $7 to mail me that check.
Anyhow, once I get confirmation that the check is cleared, I will send the parts off to you.
Regards,
Markus Meyer

Amongst other annoying minor differences over the 126 model run, the stereo was changed quite a bit. On the gen2 cars for instance (1986-1991), there were 4 different stereos used!
1986-1987 had the same
1988-1989 had the same
1990
1991

If you can find someone with a 1991 parts car that has a good unit in the trunk you can buy, that is one option. Another is to check ebay. Or contact Becker directly and see what they have. The final straw is to have everything replaced with an updated unit, but this would involve at least bypassing the old wiring and installing a new head unit with all new wiring, assuming your existing speakers are okay.

My cassette player/stereo is not functioning correctly, difficult to adjust speakers etc...
An "expert" on the 300 E informed me that the tuner in the trunk on the drivers side is at fault.
Does the 560 SEC have a tuner in the trunk? If so any suggestions as to what to do if a person wanted to keep their 91' as original as possible.
Thanks
Dr H
