Philip,
The Durst lens boards are circular and of relatively small diameter.
Certainly possible to produce a DIY version but much more difficult than
making a recessed lens board for a camera.
One possible DIY solution would be to turn up a series of flat plates
(black plastic) of smaller diameter than the outside diameter of the lens
board and stack them on a standard lens board with a suitably large hole
drilled into it. The edges of the standard lens board have a bevelled edge
to match the holding arrangement for the board and to give the option
of rotating the board 360 degrees. This allows lenses to be screwed into a
thread on the board and still have the aperture information visible
wherever the lens ends up by simply rotating the lens board to a suitable
position before clamping.
Cheers,
Clive
