It's better when you just let go and embrace the notion of the wet force ;-)
I can't imagine that my scanner/printer setup will produce anything
superior to a contact print. Even if I farmed out wet printing from a scan,
I have a feeling that there would be something missing. You know, late
nights, chemical stains and odors.....
Moving into the world of 8x10 chromes in the UK would need a bank loan. As
long as I'm shooting B&W then the enlarger will probably get good use for
large prints. The baseboard will drop to the floor and the chassis is about
9 feet high. It took three of us and a sack trolley to move it after the
head, baseboard and anything that would unbolt had been removed.
You know it makes sense ;-)
