Have you tried Polaroid Type 55 PN film? I think this a similar or if not
the same emulsion as Panatomic-X. I have removed the film from the envelope
and developed in D-76 with really good results.

Subject: [LargeFormat] Panatomic-X still around sort of...
Hi everyone!
When I found out that Panatomic-X was still available in aerial film,
I
wrote to Kodak 'down under'.
Below is the copy of their letter and my inquiry. For those unfamilar with
Panatomic-X, it was
discontinued in 35mm and roll sizes years ago. At EI of 32 it's very fine
grained. I've used it
in a view camera and I'll be using it again when I get my 5x7 as I've got
1000ft
5 inch roll
in the fridge. The roll I've got is the thin film. My question was about
the
minimum order
of the thicker film. But apparently, it's unavailable in the usual thick
sheet
film type base.

Hello Rich,
Kodak Panatomic-X Aerocon II Film 3412 is as 2.5 mil film. All of the
sizes we offer are special order but the size of the film dictates the
minimum order. For example, if you were to order 70mm film, the minimum
would be 36 rolls. If you ordered 5 in. the minimum would be 10 rolls
unless you were using the 100 ft length, then the minimum would be 20
rolls. If you ordered 9-1/2 in film, the minimum would be 5 rolls.
There is no problem shipping this film to California.
I hope this information helps. If you need any further information let
me know.
Regards,
Judy Rodriguez

Question: Hi! What's the least number of rolls of Kodak
Panatomix-X Aerecon II Film 3412 to purchase?
I'm in California. Is that a problem shipping?
This is the Estar Thick Base Film that is
special order. Let me know. Thanks! Rich
