I have seem some good Adams' work and some Ok Adams' work but our city hall
has a bunch that will make you gasp. Some are large prints, some giagantic.
Probably the collection is worth as much if not more than the building

BINGO !!!! Thats a perfect way of saying what I've been trying to say.
I saw the show too and walked away really confused. I saw the "poster
shots" and a lot of mediocre photos. What I really wish to see was his
commercial work that people do not know about. He is off the pedestal now.

H'lo Clive,
I saw the Ansel Adams exhibition at SFMOMA and found it quite interesting.
It made him more approachable, since it showed a lot of his work that was
not executed nearly as well as the stuff you always see in calendars, etc.
There have been a few times I've felt the need to comment on one issue or
another, but have been unable to, since I cannot seem to access the
discussion groups. Am I no longer welcome, or perhaps my password has been
changed, or . . ?
Good luck for the weekend.
More on the AA show later,
Karl Wolz
