Dear Friends,
The large format negative has sooo much more area to play with that
you can leave a little room around the edges and still get a big image to
play with. So I adopt the worst-case scenario and imagine that I have badly
jiggered up my composition but can save it by cropping on the easel - and I
always leave a little cropping room.

Indeed Uncle Dick, but like I said, sometimes I'm a slow learner.:) I just
emerged from the darkroom after processing 20 sheets of 4x5 and I've got
about 8 that are so tightly cropped that I'll need a glass carrier to print
them. It's either that or settle for contact prints. When will I ever
learn...
Regards, Pete
