Actually one wouldn't be enough ;-)  (I've tried, they're free on the long
flights you know!)

I don't sleep on planes (or sitting up or that matter) so would need some
serious self-medicating to drift off.  A few drinks would do it, but they
dehydrate you so badly on those flights that I'd probably suffer a nasty
clotting incident and be forced to tie a drool bucket to one of the legs of
my tripod from then on...

Sadly, I've also played with a make-shift pendulum to estimate the
acceleration of the aircraft on the takeoff roll...;-)
