Paul,
Thanks for all the URLs - am familiar with all the sites except your own,
which I will of course visit :-)
Did read some of the traffic on the newsgroups about lens specs and saw
that you had kindly offered to put the effort into making the Rodenstock
data easily available on your web site. Guess we all owe you a vote of
thanks for that!
The lens I am interested in is the 300mm f9 apo Ronar in shutter. Just my
luck that it is one of the two you have not yet put up on your
site..... It is really a compromise when choosing a long lens for 4x5 -
the apo-Ronar does not have the coverage of the competition so will not be
a lot of use for 8x10 and perhaps not quite enough movements for 5x7. At
f9 it is a little dim for focussing but I have a good focussing cloth
;-) The lens is relatively cheap (unless bought new) and I am still
looking for one - contact me off list if anyone knows of one for sale.....
