Ooops, I was right about the "constant linear
velocity," a 1x CD drive (most audio) spin at 200 RPM
on the inside tracks and 500 RPM on the outside
tracks. I was wrong about the concentric circles
though, CDs are spiral tracks as well. Hard drives are
concentric circles, as are floppies.
